The limo guys on the Strip are a trap. Those promoters offering "free limo rides" to strip clubs work on commission. They'll take you wherever pays them the most, not wherever's best. Taxis still try the long-haul scam, especially from the airport. If your cab takes the tunnel route from McCarran to the Strip instead of the surface streets, you're being taken for an extra $15-20. Rideshare avoids this entirely.

The Monorail runs along the east side of the Strip and is honestly underrated for getting between casino clusters without the sidewalk crowds. A day pass is about $13 and saves your feet.

Common sense applies double in Vegas. Don't flash cash. Don't leave drinks unattended. Don't go to a secondary location with someone you just met unless a friend knows where you are. Scams target drunk tourists, stay sharp and you'll be fine.

Realistic Weekend Budget
