I totally adore Mingles Club Colchester. Being a single woman, it's crucial for me to find a place where I feel secure and also has an exciting and appealing ambiance.
The club is spotless and tastefully adorned, despite being small it's well organized with ample space.
I'm puzzled by the other reviewer's comments about the prices because it's no pricier than any other club I've visited, not only for single women but for couples and guys as well.
The proprietors and personnel are extremely amiable and made me feel exceptionally welcome, with one of the owners doubling as the DJ who kept me on the dance floor the entire night.
I wouldn't solely rely on my words, but instead of paying heed to baseless negativity, you should really experience it for yourself.
True, they do have a minor protester, but he is innocuous and there's nothing the club can do about it, so it's hardly fair to assess based on one non-members actions.

I find it terribly unfair that individuals feel compelled to post negative reviews without revealing their identities. As a member of a couple, I have experienced numerous clubs in London and the home counties, and I can confidently declare that this club is EXCEPTIONAL. It was necessary for me to voice my appreciation and commend the owners of Mingles who put in a great deal of effort to ensure that everyones visit is a pleasant experience. They always greet everyone warmly and make a point to engage with everyone to ensure everything is satisfactory. Should you encounter any problems during your visit, they are always readily available and approachable to address any concerns or suggestions on the spot. I am in disagreement with the anonymous nature of social media, which does not allow for a proper response or the knowledge of who the critic might be.

Regarding the cost, full details can be found on the website. It is similar to going to a garage to refuel your car - if you do not like it, do not go there if the price is not right. The same applies to everyone, not just the gentlemen. Verify the actual prices/membership details on the website for yourself, rather than relying on hearsay.

My personal assessment of this club is that it is Exceptional, but do not simply take my word for it based on a review/feedback. I suggest you contact the club, sign up, and experience it for yourself. The management is excellent, scoring a 10, and the members are genuine, also scoring a 10. I will not elaborate further. Just visit and try Mingles. Every club caters to different preferences.

Just as some people prefer their tea with sugar, some more than others and some without, the same applies here!
Overall verdict: EXCEPTIONAL.

Had an amazing time at Mingles Club Colchester.
The atmosphere is relaxed and they make you feel comfortable and welcomed right away.
The place is immaculate and managed very well. It is perfect for an economical evening out because you can bring your own alcohol.
Remember, it is for members only so make sure you register. (Membership is free)**
It is a very secure place for ladies to enjoy their night out.

A few weeks back, I visited Mingles Club Colchester. Right outside, there was an elderly gentleman holding a sign directing to the club, which made us feel a bit uneasy, even though we were there to write a review. We signed up using our friends identities and the blonde lady at the reception quickly took our annual membership and entry fees, barely glancing at our driving licenses.

The rushed tour of the place revealed its small size. Despite being nicely decorated, a fishy odour hit us as we entered the main room.

Is it worth the money? No, it is quite expensive for what it offers.
Is the atmosphere good? No, there was a woman at the bar complaining to the male owner about other guests all night. The owners only interacted with a few guests and only spoke to others when they bought drinks or requested their own to be handed to them.
Would I recommend it? No, unless they reduce the price by at least half to match the actual value of the place.
Did they make us feel welcome? No, they seemed more interested in our money and completely ignored us when we tried to introduce ourselves to the owners.
Is it clean? No, the carpets need a thorough cleaning and the smell was present throughout the club until we got used to it.

On a positive note, the other guests were friendly. While conversing with a lady and her friends, we learned that single men usually visit the club only once due to the steep initial charge of £100 and subsequent visits costing up to £50. Despite her repeated complaints, the owners seem indifferent. The prices are significantly higher than other clubs we have reviewed such as Jaydees, Eureka and The Annex, making it poor value for money.

My suggestion:
Save your money.

The woman above who claims I do not exist knows me quite well. Hello Louise/Raewin/letsplay4real, we met at Mingles and although you are adorable, your attitude needs some adjustment.

The woman above is involved with the club as she and her partner organise events there, so it is unlikely they would give it a bad review and risk losing income.

And Louise, I see you can also create a fake profile, but remember you know me VERY WELL INDEED ;-)
