I had a terrible encounter today (Wednesday 22.05.2024) at about 18:45uhr. There was a very rude young man at the counter who could not speak German. That was not an issue for me since I can communicate in both English and German. The main issue was his lack of manners, he never uttered a please or thank you, did not maintain eye contact, and seemed to dislike his job. The music was extremely loud. I do not plan on returning.

Duplexx has now implemented its third price hike, making even their online ticket, priced at €12.95, unappealing.
Since the start of 2024, they have also put restrictions on entry. This means that even if you have a day pass, you can no longer enter and exit as you please. Depending on the type of ticket you have, you either cannot re-enter at all or you are limited to a maximum of two re-entries.
Moreover, the Kinotag ticket is now only valid for 5 days, shortened from its previous 7-day validity. There seems to be a continuous trend of hidden price increases!
The cleanliness of the place is questionable at best. The toilets are frequently out of order and it takes ages for them to be fixed. As for the staff... I will leave it at that...
Then there is the boss who only operates behind the scenes and his partner who tries to counteract everything with sharp comments.
It seems like their primary goal is to squeeze out every last euro from their customers.
The glory days of this place are certainly a thing of the past!
Luckily, there are numerous other options that are both superior and more affordable.

We were regular visitors to Duplexx! However, REGRETTABLY, the revised pricing and terms are not suitable at all! It has become pricier and now offers a single entry instead of a day pass :( Consider this: It implies that the number of guys in the cinema is dwindling, making a visit less appealing! This move has backfired on you...! Please ponder over this. Regrettably, unless this changes, we will not be visiting anymore! We would rather purchase a 20 euro ticket at LSD (3 distinct cinemas) which is even valid for 24 hours!
