I felt compelled to pen down my first review following my visit to The Camelot Showbar Strip Club. To give you an overview, the manager on duty, a petite lady, was exceedingly unprofessional and should either be moved to a different role or dismissed altogether.
Starting from the entrance, the door staff and security were top-notch, extending courtesies, helping me with the door and guiding me to my table. I was on a weekend trip to DC and their friendliness was much appreciated. The dancers can be quite forward, but as long as you know how to handle it, it is not necessarily a negative. On the bright side, the ladies are stunning. The club has a rule that you must buy a drink for any dancer who sits with you if you want them to stay. I was quite active that night, buying a few drinks for myself and others. There is also a peculiar house rule that dancers are not allowed to dance off the stage. My dancer was scolded by the manager multiple times for dancing at our table and seat, which spoiled a lot of my experience. After a while at my table, I was informed that the table was required for new guests who had just arrived. There were several other vacant tables which made me wonder why I was being relocated. I am not a confrontational person, and I understand that sometimes business takes precedence, so I vacated the table for the new guests and moved to the bar to buy another drink. The dancer I was chatting with accompanied me to the table, as we had gotten along quite well that night and she was admittedly making a fair bit of money from me.
About 20 minutes at the bar, one of the security personnel approached the bartender and inquired if I had a drink. The bartender confirmed that I did and the security relayed that the manager wanted me out, but could not explain why. I asked what the problem was and the security stated they had no idea, as I had not caused any trouble all night. The manager, a short woman with black hair, was incredibly unprofessional, spoiling the experience for me and several others who had dancers with them at their seats. Moreover, being asked to leave the venue while still actively buying drinks without any explanation or issue is a problem. The manager should be either dismissed or reassigned. I commend the professionalism shown by the security and the dancers, but my rating is 2 stars due to the manager.

Visited for an early Sunday brunch. The staff were very inviting, the food was excellent and reasonably priced. There were no dancers due to the early hour, but it was still a very pleasant dining experience. I found out about this place from a Washington post article and just had to give it a try. I will surely be going back!

The team at the bar and reception are excellent. I would definitely suggest this place.
- The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and always smiling, especially considering it was my first time in such an environment.
- The dancing portion of the evening had a great vibe, with regular patrons inviting me to join them on the dance floor, which was a really nice touch for someone attending alone.
- There weren't many people, but I guess that's to be expected on a weekend in July. Plus, there seemed to be a lot of regular couples who were already familiar with each other, so it was a bit challenging for a solo visitor like me to mingle. But, I guess that's part of the experience.
I plan on returning to this club, maybe even this afternoon, in hopes of having some more exciting encounters.

It is quite a task to evaluate this place as there is so much to critique. It is also hard to point fingers at the staff who, I am guessing, are just following the management's instructions. Upon your arrival, you will be met with a barrage of rules that seem to treat the customers like children. The so-called "ten commandments" of proper behavior speak volumes about the liabilities of the customers, but I digress. Among these rules, you are not allowed to keep the locker keys with you, you must ask for them at the bar each time you need them. The foam party was held in a room upstairs that was about 10m2. The white-tiled walls and a large window presented a rather dismal sight of one woman surrounded by about twenty single men. You are then abruptly thrown into a scene that could be straight out of a bad Franck Thilliez novel. The music was a disaster. Céline Dion, ACDC, Adele, you name it, even my eardrums had had enough.
After leaving, we came across a couple and a single man who were just as disappointed as we were. The outcome was disastrous. The couple didn't even last half an hour before they left with the same thoughts as us. It's a pity, because the place does have potential but it is too large and as a result, lacks any charm. It is a place that is missing any semblance of subtlety. A subtlety that is also absent in the owner's responses to Google reviews. Reviews that, according to the owner, are just as bad as the €55 we spent on entry last night.
Le Celeste is to libertinage what the Gérards are to cinema.
