Really let down. Attempted to access a ladies room but was refused because my id showed M, even though I have long hair, breasts, and wear make up. Not sure what else I can do to prove I am a woman. Meanwhile my partner, who has short hair and a beard, was permitted entry simply because their id reads F. I was under the impression this was supposed to be a safe space, but instead I was misgendered by staff and did not feel very welcome.

Our first visit to Steamworks was on Saturday night. The employees were quite pleasant and took the time to give us a tour. We enjoyed using the St. Andrews cross, and our room was tidy. The hot tub and sauna facilities were also quite charming. The only discomfort we experienced was the significantly high number of men compared to women. It would have been nice to see more women present.
