I felt compelled to pen down my first review following my visit to The Camelot Showbar Strip Club. To give you an overview, the manager on duty, a petite lady, was exceedingly unprofessional and should either be moved to a different role or dismissed altogether.
Starting from the entrance, the door staff and security were top-notch, extending courtesies, helping me with the door and guiding me to my table. I was on a weekend trip to DC and their friendliness was much appreciated. The dancers can be quite forward, but as long as you know how to handle it, it is not necessarily a negative. On the bright side, the ladies are stunning. The club has a rule that you must buy a drink for any dancer who sits with you if you want them to stay. I was quite active that night, buying a few drinks for myself and others. There is also a peculiar house rule that dancers are not allowed to dance off the stage. My dancer was scolded by the manager multiple times for dancing at our table and seat, which spoiled a lot of my experience. After a while at my table, I was informed that the table was required for new guests who had just arrived. There were several other vacant tables which made me wonder why I was being relocated. I am not a confrontational person, and I understand that sometimes business takes precedence, so I vacated the table for the new guests and moved to the bar to buy another drink. The dancer I was chatting with accompanied me to the table, as we had gotten along quite well that night and she was admittedly making a fair bit of money from me.
About 20 minutes at the bar, one of the security personnel approached the bartender and inquired if I had a drink. The bartender confirmed that I did and the security relayed that the manager wanted me out, but could not explain why. I asked what the problem was and the security stated they had no idea, as I had not caused any trouble all night. The manager, a short woman with black hair, was incredibly unprofessional, spoiling the experience for me and several others who had dancers with them at their seats. Moreover, being asked to leave the venue while still actively buying drinks without any explanation or issue is a problem. The manager should be either dismissed or reassigned. I commend the professionalism shown by the security and the dancers, but my rating is 2 stars due to the manager.

Visited for an early Sunday brunch. The staff were very inviting, the food was excellent and reasonably priced. There were no dancers due to the early hour, but it was still a very pleasant dining experience. I found out about this place from a Washington post article and just had to give it a try. I will surely be going back!

After so many years, I was taken aback when a dancer invited me for a private dance. I had never experienced that before. A stunning girl named Roxi Love made my first time an unforgettable one. Yes, I may have spent more than I intended, but at no point did I feel coerced. It was an experience I will cherish and I am certainly looking forward to going back.
However, my recent visits have been less enjoyable. There's this independent private dance lady who's been frequenting the place - she's quite tall (5'11) and wears a strong perfume. She would sit with me and persistently try to convince me to get a private dance, even after I've declined. The last time I got her a drink and she stayed with me even after finishing it (probably for about an hour). She claimed she thought I still wanted a dance. I wanted to socialize with other girls and maybe get a dance from them, but they would just pass by. I just wanted to unwind and savor my drink. The manager eventually intervened and she moved on to someone else. She's just not a pleasant person to converse with, or be around.
I encountered her once at Diamonds (the only time I visited), and she kept pushing for a dance after I bought her several drinks. I wanted two songs, but as I was paying she kept trying to upsell me until I shelled out 200 for a "special" half hour. It was anything but special. She disregarded my requests for how I wanted the dance, and snapped at me to let her do it her way. After about 12 minutes she suggested we take a break and have some drinks. So I got us more drinks and when we returned she declared time's up after a few minutes. Essentially, I spent $200 for a 15-minute dance I didn't enjoy. When I saw her again at St. Pete's, I was like, "oh no"!
There's another tall girl (she told me she's 5'10) who's been there for a while and I genuinely enjoy her company. If not for my encounter with the other woman, I would have easily rated the club five stars. Aside from that, it's an amazing club, the best in the city.
