I am shocked you let women be treated like dogs in 2024, shame on the one who owns the building. Young women who need to strip for a bunch of dogs, it should be illegal. What is wrong with Major and RCMP allowing this?

We visited The Sammy for a pals bachelorette bash and encountered a bit of a problem with the Bartender. She had a dispute with us about what constituted a legal ID, even though 4 out of 6 of us work as servers.
She insisted that two pieces of ID meant two pieces of photo ID, as her sign indicated. But the sign actually stated that the first piece should be a photo ID and the second could be a photo or a signed ID, like a care card, SIN, or a signed Credit card.
In my 11 years of serving in BC, I never heard of a rule that required two photo IDs.
The way we were handled left a sour taste. It was downright rude.

During the initial part of the extended weekend, I found myself in Fernie. On asking for suggestions about hangout spots in Cranbrook, Sammy’s was not recommended by many. However, being the headstrong person I am, I chose to go to Sammy’s nonetheless. The stage performances were quite engaging and people-watching was equally entertaining. The local crowd was amicable and always open for a conversation. The cost of drinks was pretty standard for a strip club. In my opinion, do not let negative reviews influence you, I had a fun time at Sammy’s.
