Had some great moments at J Js Pub in the past.
Found myself stuck in Campbell River for a night and thought Id give it another visit. It was a Thursday night and according to their signs and website, they open at 7:00. I arrived at 8:30 and it was deserted. I mentioned to the bartender/waitress that it felt like a ghost town, to which she responded, we just opened a few minutes ago.

I paid for a double drink, an $8 cover charge, and left a generous tip. She then left and spent her time with the DJ, only coming over to offer me a second drink about 20 minutes later.
I left another good tip and she vanished again.
No entertainment had started by this point.

The girls who I presumed were the dancers arrived just before 9:30, accompanied by an older man who I assumed was the owner/manager and a few other guys. They all seemed in high spirits, but no one, including the bartender, paid any attention to me.

At this juncture, I decided it was best for me to leave.
Perhaps the experience would have been better if I had visited later or with a group, but spending $60 for two drinks with no interaction was a bit of a letdown.
I hope your experience turns out better than mine did.

Attractive ladies... sometimes. Security is really impolite. I shelled out more than 500 bucks there and wanted to step out for a smoke. They told me once I exit, I wouldnt be allowed back in. Then I saw him let around 10 other folks go for a smoke and let them back in. There are times when their actions might be justified but often, like this time, they appear to randomly single out people for no apparent reason.

The girls at J Js Pub were real lookers! All of them seemed nice, and so did the folks working there, including the bouncers. They were all kind to my pals and me. The place was quite tidy too. But I do have one gripe. There was this lady who pretty much forced you to buy extra shots off her belt. My buddy was already wasted, and she just kept pouring them into her, and straight up demanding who is buying the next one instead of asking if we even wanted it.

Visited J Js Pub for the first time..my husband and son had been there the previous year..they enjoyed themselves tonight when I went there for the first time with my friends.. IT WAS FANTASTIC..everyone was so welcoming.. I felt like I belonged.. even as a grandma in her 60s trying to enjoy herself...Best location ever..dont pay too much attention to the negative comments..because it is not what I experienced..The place is clean, well-kept and the staff and dancers are INCREDIBLE..had the best bartender ever..
