Me and my friend, we are new to this town, were supposed to meet at Bare Assets Melbourne. As a single, attractive and well-dressed woman, I walked in and the manager with a cowboy hat quickly showed me and my friend the exit. He asked if we had been drinking. I was like, I do not even touch alcohol, yet he insisted we seemed unstable and could not enter. What the heck I guess he did not want us there because we were too pretty. It was just a dive bar anyway, full of smoke and unattractive women. It was downright gross. :((( We would have left on our own anyway.

I was under the impression it was a classy joint.

The gentlemans club, Bare Assets Melbourne, was alright. They had a mix of tunes playing. There were ladies of different nationalities and body types. I accompanied my husband and felt somewhat overlooked. Despite us tipping the women on stage, they did not approach us. I am not certain why that was the case. We ended up spending $340 on drinks and tips for the ladies on stage. The place could be more welcoming to couples. The drinks were decent and they close at 1:55am, not 2am.

I had the most enjoyable afternoon in a long time at Bare Assets Melbourne! The day shift was the most attractive I have ever seen, and not just locally. I was thoroughly impressed. But what stood out even more were the captivating eyes of the cocktail waitress. Usually, I would not notice such details with so much else to catch the eye, but her eyes were simply mesmerizing. I did not catch her name, but she mentioned she is there every Thursday and Friday, so I am definitely planning to return. The drinks were excellent and the food truck on the way out was pretty decent too. I highly recommend this place.

Revised: Management has addressed my issues and got rid of some of the troublesome dancers. I have been there a few times since then and I can honestly say the experience has greatly improved.

I have visited a few times at the insistence of friends, and usually, I have a good time. The drinks are a bit pricey, but that is to be expected at such a place. Generally, it is a decent experience.

However...

A friend of mine had his money taken by some of the girls working there. He went there based on our recommendation, and two girls named Amore and Jasmine targeted him until he was too inebriated and they transferred 900$ from his bank account directly from his phone into their accounts.

I have since stopped going there, management will not discuss it with me, and I have been discouraging others from going. I understand it is a risque nightclub given the nature of the entertainment, but outright theft from your customers is something I cannot support.

Visited Bare Assets Melbourne last night for a friend's birthday celebration. It was my first time there and it was alright. My rating of 2 stars is mainly due to an unfortunate incident. My lululemon fanny pack was stolen. My husband had to go back inside and confront the group seated behind us who were responsible. They seemed like regular culprits. Not planning to return. My credit card is still missing.
